Meet Our Leaders

Deputy Superintendent Michael Betro

Michael Betro joined our team in 2020 as an Armed Security Guard. Since then, he has consistently demonstrated strong dedication, reliability, and loyalty to the company.


In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he served as a front-line supervisor. In this role, he strictly upheld and enforced company policies in accordance with the Employee Handbook.


In 2022, Michael was promoted to Lieutenant. In this position, he oversees daily company operations while managing both frontline personnel and supervisory staff, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and high standards across all assignments.

Assistant Superintendent Carlos Nunez

Carlos Nunez joined our team in 2020 as an Armed Security Guard, bringing with him over 25 years of law enforcement experience with the NYPD. Throughout his tenure with our company, he has taken on a variety of field assignments, consistently demonstrating exceptional performance and professionalism.


In 2022, Carlos was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he began overseeing daily operations and supervising frontline personnel.


In his current leadership role, Area Manager & Assistant Superintendent Nunez oversees our Westchester County accounts, ensuring quality service and operational efficiency. He also plays a key role in managing staff, assisting with client acquisition, and facilitating smooth site transitions.

Lieutenant Carroll Johnson

Carroll Johnson joined Mid-Hudson Security in 2022, quickly distinguishing himself through exceptional reliability, leadership, and site-level operational excellence—qualities rooted in his service in the United States Marine Corps.


As a Site Supervisor, he consistently set the standard for accountability, discipline, and team performance, earning the respect of both clients and fellow team members.


In 2026, Carroll was promoted to Lieutenant in recognition of his continued professional growth, strategic mindset, and unwavering commitment to the mission. In this role, he plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence and supporting both personnel and client needs across assigned sites.

HR Manager Brandon Smith

Brandon Smith serves as the Human Resources Manager for the company—though his role extends far beyond a traditional HR title. Known for wearing multiple hats on any given day, Brandon handles everything from hiring and onboarding to problem-solving, scheduling, and occasionally being the unofficial tech support.


As HR Manager, he is responsible for recruiting qualified personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining a professional and structured work environment. He is also the go-to person for employee questions, concerns, and the occasional “who do I talk to about this?”—with the answer usually being, “Brandon.”


Whether he’s managing paperwork, resolving issues in the field, or stepping in wherever needed, Brandon plays a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly.


In short, if something needs to get done, Brandon probably has a hat for it.

Sales Manager Brandon Smith, again

Brandon Smith serves as the company’s Sales Manager, where he is responsible for building client relationships, securing new business, and making sure no opportunity slips through the cracks. Known for his persistence and attention to detail, Brandon ensures that every lead is followed up on—sometimes twice… just to be safe.


In this role, he manages client outreach, proposals, and contract development, while also working closely with operations to ensure a smooth transition from sale to service. Whether it’s a new account or an existing client, Brandon focuses on delivering solutions that meet each site’s specific security needs.


Like most of his roles, this one doesn’t stop at sales. From answering late-night calls to coordinating last-minute coverage, Brandon wears multiple hats to make sure clients are taken care of from start to finish.


In short, if you’ve spoken to someone about services—there’s a good chance it was Brandon.

Book Keeper Brandon Smith, again

Brandon Smith serves as the company’s Bookkeeper, where he is responsible for keeping the numbers in line and the business running on track. From invoices and payroll to tracking expenses and making sure everything balances out, Brandon ensures that the financial side of operations stays organized and accurate.


Known for his attention to detail, he keeps a close eye on accounts, making sure bills get paid, employees get paid, and nothing slips through the cracks. If there’s ever a question about finances, budgets, or where something ended up—it usually finds its way to Brandon.


Like many of his roles, bookkeeping doesn’t stop at the desk. Whether it’s coordinating with clients, handling last-minute adjustments, or double-checking reports, he wears multiple hats to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.


In short, if the numbers make sense, Brandon’s been there.

Office Janitor Brandon Smith, again

Brandon Smith also serves as the office janitor—because when you wear as many hats as he does, keeping the place clean just comes with the territory.


From taking out the trash to making sure the office stays presentable, Brandon handles the behind-the-scenes details that keep the workspace running smoothly. While it may not be in the official job description, he understands that a clean and organized environment reflects the professionalism of the company.


Whether it’s tidying up after a long day, fixing what’s out of place, or making sure everything is in order for the next shift, Brandon approaches even the smallest tasks with the same level of commitment.
